Loft Insulation

An uninsulated loft can account for 25% of the total heat loss from the average home

Along with cavity wall insulation, the Government regards loft insulation as one of the most effective energy savings measures that most people can carry out on their homes and apart from saving money it is also major contributor to reducing emissions of carbon dioxide through the conservation of fuel and power.

Loft insulation traps heat into your home like a blanket and in most homes, is one of the simplest methods of saving money on your heating bills. If your loft has not been insulated in the last 15 years it will most likely have less than the current government standard of 270mm (11") and requires topping up. A loft insulated to current building regulation guidelines will substantially reduce your heating bills and produce 800kg less Co2 after installing the recommended 270mm depth of insulation.
