Floor Insulation

Insulating under the floor boards will save in excess of £60.00 in the average home

If you've ever stepped from your bed in the morning half asleep only to leap back in again as soon as your toes touch the icy cold floor, you'll know how a draughty home feels.

Insulating your floor and blocking the draughts they let in will save approx. 350kg of CO2 a year for the average household.

Timber floors can be insulated by lifting the floorboards and laying mineral wool insulation supported by netting between the joists.

Gaps and draughts around skirting boards and floors are easy enough to do yourself if you know what you are doing with a tube of sealant bought from any DIY store. However, make sure you don't block underfloor air-bricks in your outside wall, floorboards require adequate ventilation or they will rot.

We have a number of floor insulation products available whatever the type of floor.
